MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR


Hello Everyone

 

Effective April 18, 2024 Lilac Knoll has been declared by KFLA Public Health in Respiratory Outbreak.


Lilac Knoll home area is closed. Only Designated Essential Caregivers are permitted into this Home area. Residents are to stay in this Home area for the duration of this outbreak.

 

Residents' symptoms are Respiratory in nature. Residents isolating in their rooms have to be symptom-free for 48 hours before they can come out of their room.

 

If an essential caregiver is feeling differently in any way, please, stay home. If you have experienced respiratory symptoms yourself, please do not visit for 48 hours after your last symptom.

 

Hand Hygiene is Critical: Ensure you are taking every opportunity to hand sanitize your hands and your loved one's hands. If your hands are visibly soiled, soap and water plus friction are the preferred options.

 

All persons entering Lilac Knoll Home area are required to wear a mask while on the Home area that covers their mouth and nose.

 

There is no eating or drinking in this Home area by Essential Caregivers.

if they are unable, the power of attorney. 

 

Those wishing to be an Essential Caregivers must submit this form to be approved as an essential caregiver. 

Please return via email to our IPAC Lead Angela Richmond RN - arichmond@lennox-addington.on.ca or fax (613-354-7387). 

Alternatively, we will have hard copies of this document available at front reception at JMPC where you can complete and drop off to them.

Then, you will need to watch a short Infection Control video here followed by a quiz here in order to be approved as an essential caregiver. 


If you are struggling to watch the video or complete the quiz, please reach out to reception and they will be able to provide assistance.

This line is available to raise concerns or ask questions related to LTC homes across Ontario and is staffed seven days a week from 8:30am – 7:00pm

The person who answers the call will take your name and contact information, ask a few questions on the issue, and forward this to an inspector for follow-up.

The complainant will hear back from the Ministry within two business days.
